A beautiful, scented plant that is a wonderful addition to any garden. Clematis Araminii is a vigorous fast growing climber that is extremely popular for its characteristic shiny, dark green (evergreen) foliage, combined with abundantly produced medium sized (and deliciously scented) white flowers. The flowers are approximately 5cm (2in) and appear in spring on new growth. The plant can reach a height of 6m (20ft).

Clematis Armandii is growing over our back door and gives off a wonderful scent of almonds. It has glossy ever green pointed leaves and has been covered in the white flowers in February and March. Its in a very sheltered position and in its third year is doing well though I find it is somewhat bare at the base which I hide by growing a type of fast growing very leafy Comfrey which also gives it shade at the base.
